Ron and Fay Simpson started Simpson Farms in 1969 as a tomato and sugar cane farm near Bundaberg. They rapidly expanded their operation and in the late 1980s developed Goodwood Plantation, which grew into Australia’s largest producing Avocado Orchard. This property has been combined with other MIS properties, and now Simpson Farms manages 1000 Hectares of Avocado orchards in Queensland.

Ron and Fay's four daughters and their husbands are actively involved in the management of the business as it continues to grow.  Each with their own area of expertise, the business has a depth and breadth of knowledge not usually found in a family run operation.  With over 100 years combined experience and several degrees including Horticultural Science, Engineering, Marketing and Business Management, this family company has the knowledge and experience to carry it successfully into the future.
